Q-Mark FDI · Third-party certified
Fire doors installed to the standard they were tested to.
A fire door is only as good as its installation. As BM TRADA Q-Mark certified installers, we fit doorsets exactly as their test evidence requires — then label and certify every one, so you can prove it.

§01Overview
BM TRADA Q-Mark fire door installation
BM TRADA certified door condition surveys and installations are a critical part of keeping a building safe and compliant with fire regulations. Q-Mark certification is recognised across the industry as a mark of quality and reliability — it means our work is independently audited, not just self-declared.
Whether you're replacing failed doors across a residential block or specifying new doorsets for a fit-out, we survey, supply, install and hand over with the paperwork your fire risk assessor will ask for.
§02Scope

§04The Q-Mark difference
Tested product + certified install = a door that performs.
Fire doors are tested as complete assemblies. Change the gaps, the hinges, the seals or the fixings and that test evidence no longer applies. Our certified installers fit to the evidence, every time.
Survey first
We record each door's condition before recommending repair or replacement.
Fit to test evidence
Frames, fixings, ironmongery and fire-stopping installed as the manufacturer's certification requires.
Label and certify
Each installation is labelled and certified, giving you a permanent, traceable record.
Smiths Contractors did a fantastic job refurbishing our entrance doorsets to our 3 tower, 600 apartment residential complex. The work was carried out professionally, on schedule, and the estate looks so much better for it. Highly recommended.
§05How we work
Survey. Report. Deliver. Certify.
The same disciplined sequence on every job, from a single doorset to a full estate.
- 01
Survey
We inspect every door, or walk the project with you, and record exactly what we find.
- 02
Report & price
You get clear findings, options and a fixed scope before any work begins.
- 03
Deliver
Certified operatives and project managers carry out the work around your building's routine.
- 04
Certify & record
Doors are labelled and certified, and you receive the records that prove compliance.
§06FAQ
Common questions
What does Q-Mark certification actually mean?
It means our installation work is audited by BM TRADA, a UKAS-accredited certification body. Certified installs are labelled and certified, giving a building owner independent evidence that a door was fitted correctly — not just a contractor's word.
Can you survey our existing doors before we commit to replacement?
Yes. A door condition survey tells you which doors can be repaired, which need replacing and why. Plenty of doors can be brought back into compliance without a full replacement.
Do you work in occupied buildings?
Most of our work is in buildings that stay open — residential blocks, offices and trading venues. We plan sequencing and access so residents and staff are disrupted as little as possible.
